This is the limited edition CD version. There are only 300 copies, and we have just over 150 available! It comes in a 6 panel wallet featuring exclusive artwork by Rainbath Visual only found on the CD version. It also will have an insert with the albums lyrics. The artwork and mastering for this version will be completely different than the LP version to be released in a few months.

Wildernessking hail from South Africa and play an utterly brilliant style of atmospheric black metal. Their early releases under the Heathens moniker displayed a more raw and groove oriented style, but they have matured exponentially on "The Writing of Gods in the Sand". We felt compelled to work with them after hearing their single "Morning" (available free here: http://heathens.bandcamp.com/album/morning) and being completely blown away by how powerful and moving the song was. A few emails were exchanged and this project was born.

The band has pulled out all the stops for this release, enlisting Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna, Khoma) for mastering duties, their logo design by the awesome Black Uroborus (http://www.blackuroborus.com/) and artwork by Reuben Sawyer of Rainbath Visual (Deafheaven, Ash Borer). The production value of this album absolutely crushes their previous works, all the while maintaining that element of grit and raw intensity that makes them so special. Obviously we are extremely proud to be a part of this release, and are thrilled to share it with the world!
